Our Containers Meet International Standards For Shipping Container Dimensions
In order for ease of use across all countries, most shipping containers are manufactured to clearly defined and agreed sizes, in terms of exterior width, length and height, which is defined by a ISO (International Standards Organization) standard.
All of our containers meet this ISO international shipping container dimensions standard, so you can be sure of the quality, and we can confidently provide you with exacting specifications.
Helpful Hint:
As a rule of thumb, the contents of a standard 3 bedroom home will fit into a 20 ft container, if packed correctly!
Storage Containers
Our storage containers are ideal for storage of general items and products. In the main all our hire containers are “new builds”, no leaking, no vermin or breaking your back to open the doors. They are supplied in a clean and weather proof condition, with lockable doors and in most cases fitted with lock boxes for added security.
Consideration should be given to where you place the container and on what it is placed, if anything. This is particularly important if you intend to store valuable items for a long period. Please see our siting information on the Container Delivery Page.
Depending on what is being stored and where the container sits, your own household insurance policy may cover your stored items. It is our recommendation that you contact your insurer to confirm. ABC Storage Hire does not offer or extend cover to items stored in our containers.
